Publication Jewish past of Tarnow

This travel feature has been published in Meridian Travel Magazine – 2016.

There is little left of the rich Jewish past of Tarnow after the Second World War. Yet Tarnow is a city where a remarkable love story begins. We traveled from the flowered town of Zalispie to Tarnow with its ink-black history. The town also know as the pearl of the Renaissance.

And we stumble across a very special love story. Of a man from Tarnow put on the train to concentration camp Auschwitz. There he falls in love with a Jewish girl and challenges faith by escaping with her. But then he looses her for 39 years. Until faith brings them back together and love blossoms again from New York all the way to Poland.
